SSHS17 will be held at Atlanta Dragway on Saturday, November 11th, 2017. It is located in Commerce, GA, about an hour north of downtown Atlanta on I-85.

This premier event, will settle on the drag strip which two ton Mopar, GM, or Ford heavyweight has what it takes to win. There will be two bracket racing ET classes, 12.00 Index class, 11.00 Index class, and the Big Dog all-out heads up class.

This event will match some of the fastest Cadillac CTS-V, Pontiac G8, Chargers, 300Cs, Impalas, Caprices, Mark VII’s, Mark VIII’s, Marauders and Crown Vics on the planet, along with any other heavyweight domestic car or truck weighing in at 4000 pounds or more with driver. That would also make some late model heavyweight pony cars like the Camaro SS, Challenger R/T, and the Mustang GT 500 eligible to compete if you meet the 4000 pound with driver weight requirements.

Contestants are competing for SSHS trophy’s in their individual ET bracket racing class. The King of the Hill pro tree bracket competition will challenge even the best bracket racers. The Pro Street and 12.00 Index class has stock appearing vehicles (no tube chasis race cars), no electronics, slicks and open headers allowed, racing heads up, on a pro tree. The event wraps up with the Big Dog heads up, all out, run what you brung off a pro tree class finals, and trophy presentations.

Before and between SSHS rounds, the track will also be open for test and tune drag racing all day for heavy cars and trucks that pay the race admission price and pass tech inspection, so there is something to do for everyone!

I am going to contact a few hotels near the track to see about getting a group rate and block of rooms. How many of you are definitely coming in the night before and will need a room?

I am going to try and make this event.

Did you get a group room rate? I see on their website rooms are around $150 a night.
No, I could never get anyone to call me back after numerous attempts, so I just said fuck it. I had Hilton points, so I decided to just use them and book there.

Hope you can make it! :cheers1:
