For an N/A application.....Should I bother? I remember reading that the stat changed between 06 and 07 models. Does anyone make a 180 stat?

i dont think there is a 180 i looked prior to changing to the 160

My 07' stays at 210 litterally from the minute I start it up, so I doubt it has a 180.

Give it a few, Lingenfelter is developing one now.......160 that is!

The 2007 has a 196º factory t'stat. They use fan modulation to keep temps above t'stat set temp so the water pump does not get loaded down.

Remember, you always want the t'stat opening to happen at a lower temp than the actual engine temp, to unload the restrictive effect on the pump and the resulting horsepower loss of driving a high static pump head.

Mine with the PCM for Less setup and LS1 fans has been running 192-196 and it has been 95+ all week.

what I want to know is can I just change to a 160 stat even thow am not throwing on e-fans I just got a CAI no resonator flowmaster I just want to run cooler.. Also what brand is everybody using can I just get one from NAPA or what

One thing to consider is 210 on the factory guage doesn't mean much. They might as well paint the needle on.

Its about 20 degrees higher than real temp on mine.

Sure you can, it will run cooler at speed and just as warm at idle or at traffic lights, unless it's cold out.

I bought my 160 t-stat from ADM.

Mine is a 06. I think Alvin said you can put it in the 07 if you use the original gasket over.

Yep,

All you have to do is re-use your factory o-ring gasket. Mine has been this way for around 9k now.
