'06 with '07 ECM?

I bought an '06 6.0L roller with a blown engine. I don't know the history on it, other than what CarFax tells me.
Odometer said 126,619 miles when I had the engine rebuilt. CarFax says last known mileage (10/2014) was 173,891.
I've run 3 different OBD readers on it, and they all identify it as a 2007. Glove box has a 2007 Owners manual.
Does anyone have any clue what's behind all this? Swapped out ECM? Should I just troubleshoot like its a 2007? VIN is 1GNET13H762208918

If that is true they had to have changed the reluctor wheel out or put on a Lingenfelter box to change it from 24x to 58x.
Any other suggestions as to how the VIN IDs it as '06 and yet a OBD reader says its '07?
I also checked your VIN and it was manufactured in late 2005 and is a 2006 model. Your 2 different mileage reports supports the idea that the ECM has been changed for what ever reason.

TYVM.. So a 2007 would work with the (assumed) original engine? Unfortunately, the block had a hole in it, so the current one is not original.
