I got new Moog upper ball joints and my 265/50R20 hit the grease fitting until they wore down. The 285/40R22 is taller and wider than the 265/50R20...I wouldn't be so sure without measuring.

Maybe the 22" wheels are spaced farther out than the stock 20's? I also don't remember what the stock ball-joints looked like.

I had 285/35/22 on mine, they fit great. I think the two sizes guys run with 22's are 285/35 and 265/40. The 285's are wider and look better imho.

I think I am going to go with 285/40/22. I like a little more side wall then the 285/35/22 rubber band look.

Keep in mind 285/40 will require spacers, rolling fenders and will rub if your lowered much at all. It was a chore to make them fit properly. IMO it's the best looking 22 tire for awd.

That said for a regularly driven awd truck on 22's I would do all the work over again to make them fit. I'm quite happy but I also run a drag pack.

Also Keep in mind their going to hurt your ETs being 1in larger diameter.

You can also go with 275/40/22. They fit the wheel almost perfectly, in my opinion.
