Default advice on how to disable onstar and event data recorder

Gentlemen, Is anyone certain how to simply disable onstar? Is anyone certain how to simply disable the event data recorder? I know destruction works, I am wondering about actions short of that.
Please do not pontificate upon the reason one may or may not choose to do so.
I am hoping for technical facts not opinion.
Thanks.

No they can not "tell on you".
There's a funny video of onstar calling a vette at the track after a run asking if there is a problem though.
Lol.

The word pontificate is also commonly used to describe a supercilious or patronizing expression of speech. Other terms that effectively describe one who tends to pontificate are pompous, haughty, ostentatious, and condescending. This approach to speech making or lecturing is often meant to demean those that have a different opinion, or in essence is used to make them feel inferior for not agreeing with the “enlightened” perspective of the person speaking.

for onstar: unplug the onstar box.
for edr: unplug the airbag controller. who needs those anyway

don't forget to destroy your cellphone and ezpass. and don't use credit cards.

I would love to hear the answer not a pointless post by a troll. Contribute or just STFU.

Mine has been shit since I did stereo. I take it the onstar box doesn't weigh shit... But the onstar buttons and wiring under rear seat I guess could be used to wire some cool shit. Using onstar buttons would be a cool purge button. Just a thought

Keep in mind that the PCM and tcm are the source of this info. It has been this way for years with our cars and trucks. The police can plug into your obd port for all the info you guys listed above. If you have a old dash hawk it can read or rest set this data.

I think you have a better chance of someone hacking your cell phone and listening then a on star operator doing a data request on your truck.

If you don't ever want them to even have a chance then disable your on star.

I find your line of questioning offensive. This site is going to shit!
