Default Turbo hotside kit

So im thinking about building a couple turbo hotside kits. But im not really sure where to start on pricing. I could also make a full bolt on kit with the intercooler pipes and all but you supply the turbo, wastegate and bov. Who would be interested. Im going to guess that the hotside kit will cost around 2000$ with the use of the stock driver side manifold. This would include the turbo manifold and crossover. Who would put money up for a kit? This will require trimming of the fender well.

As good as it sounds I don't see it selling. I think a lot of ppl like the idea but getting ppl to spend the money will be the problem and most of those who want a real turbo will fab them selfs. Good luck and I hope it works out!

Kits would sell but they'll be limited to a few which I think is what kyle is wanting to do. I'll also be working on a replicable turbo kit after mine is done.

Let me put it this way. If you build a kit, say it's "x" amount of dollars and post pictures, it will sell to somebody quickly. Without a doubt. In some ways if you dont tire kickers, dont be a tire kicker. Build a kit, it will sell.

I would be extremely tempted to sell the brand new Maggie kit I have sitting on my shelf to go with a pre fabbed turbo kit. That's literally what sold me on the Maggie. No fab work and it can be a weekend project from start to finish. What do you think the total down to the last bolt for a kit identical to yours minus intake? Including Turbo, BOV, Wastegate, etc. If I could get enough out of my setup I'd be down!

You have to think about all the parts.

Intake
Injectors
Fuel system
Intercooler
All the cold piping
Turbo
Hot side
Exhaust
BOV
WG
all the boots, clamps, and little things that will be need to make this and that work. It adds up fast, if you have a converter for the Maggie it will be to tight for a turbo.

All depends on how its built. My turbo will support 1200-1400hp

Matt Cole's fabricator offered to do the same thing (hotside kit) and I don't think anyone took him up on it. I was going to, but my procharger setup never sold.

Matts setup was a little more money and didnt accommodate the awd models. But his will probably make more power than mine.

If I remember correctly, his fabricator was offering the hotside only with no downpipe for around 1500, but was saying he needed the TBSS to make the downpipe. His crossover is in the front of the motor too. So I'm not sure how that would work with the AWD stuff. But it would clear the 6 bolt heads.

I'd say @ 1500-2k for the hotside is definitely fair and you'd sell enough to make it worth it. May only be a few here and there. But if you could make a few of them up, you'd be fine.

I have about decided to keep my tbss and go to a turbo setup if the buyer comes through on the procharger setup in a couple weeks. I don't have the ability to make my own hotside, so I'll have to find a fabricator to do it if I end up going that route.

Anybody can put together an intercooler setup. It's not really that difficult. The hard part is the hotside and getting all of that nailed down.

I talked to matts fabricator. He never made a jig for the headers so he actually needs the truck is what he told me. I'm Awd and my crossover is in the front also. It's tight but it fits.
