Default Brake Pad Review - Napa Adaptive 1

***UPDATED****

I too tired of brake dust and it is time to try something new.

http://www.adaptive1.com

Napa brake pads (more info)

Adaptive 1
  • Specially formulated with two different custom ceramic formulations
  • Responds to any driving style or condition
  • Unsurpassed combination of stopping power, noise free braking and dust free performance
  • Increasing ceramic coverage
  • Noise Free Guarantee

I'll be testing these pads on my SS and my 2000 Maxima. Looking forward to the "Guarantee" test.

Bought it the local Napa Store for $53/front (4 pads). It has instructions to install the inside and outside pads. That's new...

I hope this isn't just a marketing magic.

--------------------------------------------
My personal review after 1000 miles

I have to say these brake pads are good. Very consistent brake pedal with little to no brake dust. The brake feel is great after doing 8-10 hard stops from 60. No shudder or sqweaking considering our TBSS weights close to #5000 (with me in it). The price above was for my Maxima, sorry for the confusion. I bought them from my local Napa Store for $87.00.

I recommend anyone who wants low to no brake dust with excellent braking, this is the pad.

we just started using these at my shop. don't know much about them yet. they were expensive as hell at first, but the price came down.

i have their Ceramix brand pads on the front and rear of my TBSS and love them, clean wheels. I had them on my 96 F150 as well and they were great.

Good to hear that someone else are using these. I'm glad I put this out. I thought only I would be the guinea pig.

Thanks

I went to my local NAPA dealer yesterday to get a set and they were priced at $83.00. Online they are $73.00 plus/shipping.

I put these on the fronts of my TBSS about 4 months ago, huge difference. Almost zero brake dust. The back wheels now get dirtier then the front. I would definitely recommended to everyone. Also notice a little better stopping!

They stop a hell of alot better I got front and rears for 93 bucks. And cut my own rotors. Less fade, they made noise at first but I put disk brake quiet on the back now they are quiet as hell. Def a good buy, oh yeah I get a nice discount on these if you don get my prices.

I paid $73 and got a employee discount thru my Ford dealer on the price, retail was like $135. You stole them for $53.

I got a lot of crap from people here for buying the $20 front pads from kragen. I only got them cause i needed them for the weekend and then was going to buy all knew pads and rotors the next week. I put them on and have had Zero brake dust from them and they feel and stop just like factory. They are still going strong. ( good thing cause my brake money went to something else) I would try these pads from napa but i need knew rotors due to the factory pads wearing out the rotors beyond being able to turn them.

Retail Vs. Wholesale? My cost would be 52.70 and I have wholesale pricing
