No problem and nothing special just the K&N 57-3061 kit (sorry should have been more specific) and i used the stock air box because the heatshield that came with it was horrible imo.

There is another new owner with a white TBSS he bought on Monday.

I just ordered my tune. Went PCM of NC. Kelly was very responsive to my questions. Said they would ship today. But will have to wait til next weekend to change it out. Did the loaner program and paid the deposit on the Diablo to do my case relearn myself. No one here would touch it for less than $300. Said they need to do a diagnosis before doing any repairs. Yeah, sure you do.

After what I read about the difference a tune makes I'm excited to see for myself.

From pcm you're getting a basic mail order tune, from a live tuner you're getting a street tune, totally different ,when they say diagnosis they are checking current afr's, ect, making sure everything is communicating with the ecm , a live tune is for your particular set-up it takes time and cost more, unlike a mail order is the same tune your neighbors vehicle has flashed, although a mail order tune will help, it takes a lot of safety parameters off, and makes it more aggressive. It's not the same as live tune

I understand what your saying. But for $275 I think it will be a big help. I am not planning any power adders, just the tune, trans cooler, and E-fans later. Its got enough power for me as is. Looking for a little mileage increase and firmer shifts to hopefully help the trans live longer.

When I said diagnosis that was about a case relearn procedure only. They won't just do a relearn.

I did speak to a tuner in person here and his comment was "They put LS2's in trailblazers? " That didn't inspire much confidence in me.

What kind of mileage are you getting Dan? I'm getting 10.7mpg towing around a 5'x9' trailer loaded with inflatable bounce houses. And depending on how nice I drive normally, I get between 13.8-15.5mpg

I'm on my second tank now and I got 15.59 on the first one. It was about 200 miles freeway and the rest city hwy. I made it 302 miles.

I use a utility called Fuelly for mileage. You sign up at Fuelly.com and text your miles, gallons, fuel price and it texts back your mileage. You can also go online and see a graph of your fuel use.

Been using it for several years now. Its completely free.

Is there a section for "kills"?

I just beat the kid that works in QA with his 5.0 mustang.

He was waaaaay back there. Can't wait to see what he has to say on Monday

As far as PCM of NC, they continue to be one of the top TBSS vendors out there and offer customer service second to none. I know everybody has their favorite shop or supplier, and other vendors support this platform well too, but they will be sure to treat you right.

Kelly was very responsive to my questions. Made a couple of suggestions after I sent in my form.

I tried to order online and had a problem with that. I called today to finish my order and told Mark about the problem with their site and he said what size shirt do you wear? So getting a free shirt also. The parts should be in on Monday, but I won't do the swap until Friday. I'm off that day and if I have problems I can call them.

My tranny cooler and the special fitting came in today so that will be a project for this weekend.

I ordered a catch can off Ebay and will do that next weekend if I have it by then.

Everyone here has been great, very helpful. Glad I found this site.

How does my wife drive my car for the first time and get pulled over (75 in a 60) less than 10 miles from the house and get let go with a warning while driving with no license? I've driven this car for the last week and gone well over 75 multiple times and have yet to see the red and blues flash in my rear view!

You will love the compustar alarm. The range is the best on these systems.

A tune is only as good as the person doing the tuning. A mail tune will obviously not be as custom as a "live" tune but can get close with a few datalogs and adjustments. There are also some pretty bad street tunes floating around out there.

I just heard from Kelly again. He wanted to go over a few details.

I know this won't be like a dyno tune, but the customer service is second to none. I feel like he actually cares about me and my vehicle.

I wasn't aware of that given the industry she works in.

I don't believe I've said anything disrespectful to her.

She just confirmed the changes.

My truck was built there a few years back, and I can vouch for how they do business. Kelly sent me pictures each day of the progress and a video when the truck was up and running. Her and Alvin know the GM product line well. Always feel free to call or email them.

So, last night on our way home from the Puyallup spring fair I watched as a dark blue tbss lit up it red and blues and pulled someone over! I had no idea tbss were being used for undercover cars. And I also saw an undercover Lexus GX470.
