I got the forward shift kit installed today. I got in what I thought was a different extension housing from a Corvette but it ended up being the same one that I had already. I did get it to bolt up without the bearing races in it. IMG_20161223_193641772.jpg

I got the reverse lockout installed today. Had to modify a reverse lockout cover from a Corvette so the shifter will poke through. Then make an adjustable spacer that contacts the lockout solanoid. I won't know if it is set right untill I get the trans installed and wiring done. But for now it looks like it will work.

For the spacer in between the shifter and cover, I was going to have a custom aluminum spacer made but I found these heavy duty bushings from the hardware store. I think they will work.

Thanks, I'm getting excited myself. I don't have a body yet but I'm getting close to needing one.

Finally got the correct extension housing from a Corvette. Tried to shim the countershaft extension but didn't have the right size shims. Once I get the correct shims I can seal up the transmission.

Next step will be getting the custom bracket made that connects the trans to the transfer case.
