A resonator will help. It won't take it all away, but it will make it more bearable.

Get rid of the dronemaster for a magnaflow or borla and it will get much better

I had 26" T-pipes welded into my pipes before the tips, cut most of the drone.

I think BBA is on it. Get a frequency analyzer app on your phone and determine the resonating frequency. The add a helmholtz resonator of the length that corresponds to the frequency of your drone. You can google helmholtz/j-pipe and check other forums. The overwhelming answer seem to be these things work. Do some research and see what you think. I am looking into the same thing and may be pulling the trigger after the new year.

The basic formula is 1100/FREQ/4*12, but temp has an affect. On mine, you will note the drone at lower RPM/FREQ when cold, then climbs until the exhaust is at full operating temps. EXAMPLE: 1100/133HZ/4*12=24.8 INCH J-PIPE.

BBA - can you take a shot of yours??? It looks like mine needs to be about 25" and would love to see how you did yours!

Flowmaster or any chambered muffler can make a drone. If you go with those flow through mufflers like magnaflows or similar can help a lot. Also, may be able to gain some MPG and/or HP when getting rid of chambered mufflers. Big maybe on the last part.

I've got two of the longest magnaflows made and got tired of the drone. I added a resonator to the mix, and I like it a lot better now. I have no cats and run dual 3" all the way back to a single 5" out the back. Mines not your typical setup, but I like it much better now with the resonator.

Drone usually happens at or around 2000 rpms and can happen with any muffler depending on the overall exhaust.

If you have single exhaust, you only need one, and the pipe can be routed up the passenger fender behind the wheel well.

I had the long Magnaflow 3" and did not like it, too quiet, not raspy and too much low frequency drone. It was quieter than other free flow mufflers though...I just wanted more rasp and less drone.
