I had 2 different opportunities to go from a dig against what looked like a mid-90's Vette. 3 lane road, middle of the afternoon, no traffic. I saw no advantage from either of us...stayed neck-and-neck to 100. He got out good on the next go and stayed ahead, but didn't pull away. Totally cool guy too. Thumbs up from both of us. He pulled into a gas station behind me and asked about the TBSS. He had heard of them but wasn't familiar with stats, engine, etc. His Vette was a '95 LT1 with no mods but mint shape. He said he was going WTF? on the first run when he couldn't pull away from me. Always nice to get some compliments on the TBSS and educate at the same time.

They are always surprised when they can't leave an SUV in the dust. I have a neighbor with a very nice C5 and he was totally surprised to find out the TBSS has an LS2 engine. We'll never run each other because he is the cruising type, not the racing type.

I have a Friend with a 95 C4 Stock with a manual trans. On the jump 1st Gear we just spun. Once I hit Second i waived good bye. After 100 he started to creep up on me. We ran from 20mph and it wasnt even close. His Vette has the LT1 with 60,XXX miles

If you even have a mild tune you will beat him, if your stock, likely will be neck and neck. The stock AWD TBSS with a Superchips tune will beat an LT1 vette unless he has some good mods.

Nip - With your truck you should be able to easily run from your friends C4 at any speed. He definitely shouldn't be creeping up on you at 100+, maybe 150+ but not 100+.
Here is a ran at the track earlier in the year.
He ran a 13.816@ 101.89 w/ 2.087 60' to my 13.238@105.12 w/ 2.048 60'. You could here my Toyo's screaming on launch. I don't know what the guy had done to it (if anything) but he didn't seem to happy after the race. (Typical reaction to the TBSS however)

good job, but i would have figured these trucks would take one from a dig easier than that.
i messed with a C4 on the highway, from about a 72 punch. i got a slight jump and stayed ahead slightly till about 110, after that he started walking me like a poodle. but i figured that was gonna happen. he started it lol. after beating me he slowed down, we gave each other the thumbs up and went our own ways
Obviously, camera angle wasn't the best, however, as you can hear and see, no traction can be a nice equalizer off the line for a slower car. I've lost and had to run down many races because of lack of traction. That 60' was absolutely horrible for me! Although his wasn't any better. Either way I'll take a win by a couple of cars any day. Nips truck should be significantly faster than mine and thats why I say he should have his way quite easily with a 13.8 car.

I googled the performance stats for a 95 LT1 Vette. 5.2 sec 0-60 and 13.7 in the 1/4. That is slightly better than a stock TBSS. I always thought those Vette's would have been quicker with a similar engine and only weighing about 3400 lbs. Upon further review I see the '95 LT1 only came with 300 hp and 340 tq. The hp/tq-to-weight ratios are almost identical to the TBSS.

Do you have those velcro'd on?
I think he went with super glue because it was lighter than velcro.
LOLs you comedians... :p Your both wrong... earth magnets is where it's at.

no kidding. i added 3 of those "rare" earth magnets to the fuel lines. i gained 2 seconds 0-60 and 3 in the 1/4.
my question is; if they're so "rare" why are they using them on shit like fuel lines and oil filters? shouldn't they be on the space shuttle refrigerator or something?
Don't know but I have them wrapped around my granetelli spark plugs wires too for another 50hp. So I gained 45hp from the granetelli spark plugs and another 5 from the rare earth magnets and I could definitely feel a sotp increase!
